barrier protection is vital to protect the young from the consequences of risk
taking behaviour. Studies have shown that condom availability programs in schools
do not promote sexual activity. They do however result in increased use of
condoms and resulting increased protection against
unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (including AIDS). |

We
recommend the QCVL Display Machine with $2 or $3 coin mechanisms for
educational facilities (please see Display Machine
Page on this site), and we
suggest that standard three packs of DUREX® Sheik
Sensi-Creme be vended from these machines. These packs of three condoms
wholesale for approx $1.40 per pack (see
Condom Supplies Page).
|
 |
With QCVL student machines
the student receives better value; $2 - $3 for a pack of three DUREX®
top brand condoms, compared to the standard Canadian machines that usually
charge $1 for a single condom that is not a major brand.
|
 |
Each DUREX®
pack
of three condoms contains a full instruction leaflet with detailed advice on
condom use and avoidance of unwanted pregnancies and STI's. The condom brands
dispensed from other vending machines do not usually include these leaflets. |

Please
refer to our Social Implications Page for more discussion.

below have detailed information and research of
relevance to condom machines in educational facilities. |
